Flag Institute Meetings
Each year, in May and November, the Flag Institute holds a general meeting. These meetings are the opportunities for members to meet fellow vexillologists, build up new contacts or re-establish old ones. Members are invited to present talks on vexillogical subjects and show their collections to other members.
The Annual General Meeting of the Flag Institute takes place for part of the morning of the Autumn meeting, which this year will be held in the historic north Oxfordshire market town of Banbury on Saturday, 27 November 2010. Draft Minutes of our business meetings are made available shortly after the meeting in the Members' Area.
In alternate years, the Flag Institute holds the Perrin Lecture. This lecture is followed by an informal reception and is open to the public, as well as to members and their guests. The November 2008 lecture was held in conjunction with the All Party Parliamentary Flag Group at the Palace of Westminster.
Flag Protocol
'Flying Flags in the United Kingdom', the Institute's guide to British flag protocol, is available online.
